It has an extensive botanical collection ranging from rare cacti to exotic vegetation, and the Library has more than 15,000 books and pamphlets giving a history of Corona del Mar and the Pacific Southwest. The setting includes fountains, sculptures, flowers and hanging baskets. A conservatory houses bromeliads, orchids, ferns and a koi pond. There is a Discovery Garden designed for the blind whose essential appeal is the sense of touch and smell.

Corona del Mar Schools
Corona del Mar schools are part of the Newport-Mesa Unified School District. Although overall district academic scores are in the 70th and 80th percentile, Newport schools score in the 80-90th percentile, with a few in the high 90s.
