Seal Beach Real Estate and Relocation
Information
Seal Beach sits on the
coast as the gateway to Orange County. The city celebrated
its 75th anniversary in October 1990. Seal Beach is the
home of Leisure World, a gated senior citizen community
of approximately 7-10,000 persons. The Naval Weapons Station
is also located within the City and is a major employer
of the Seal Beach population.
Seal
Beach is becoming a haven for those in search of a quiet,
hometown atmosphere. With its old buildings, the downtown
Old Town beach is filled with small reminders of Bay City
and its lively little colony by the beach. Seal
Beach offers great neighborhoods with friendly people.
Beaches provide gentle ocean breeze and warm sunshine
for surfers and families. Shopping and restaurants
are plentiful, and there is close access to both Orange
& LA county cities.
Today, there are over 60 high school campuses alone and
enough elementary schools to educate half a million students.
Education, on all levels flourishes here. In 1999,
A dozen high schools in the County were winners in the
California Distinguished Schools Program, while nine elementary
schools were nominated for national recognition as Nation
Blue Ribbon Schools by the U.S. Department of Education.
