Seal Beach sits on the coast as the gateway to
Orange County. The city celebrated its 75th anniversary in October 1990. Seal
Beach is the home of Leisure World, a gated senior citizen community of
approximately 7-10,000 persons. The Naval Weapons Station is also located within
the City and is a major employer of the Seal Beach population.

Program, while nine elementary schools were nominated for national recognition
as Nation Blue Ribbon Schools by the U.S. Department of Education.
